BIG update v1.4


Today is the day! After months working again on this project, here is the major update ever. More than 100 additions/changes to the game. New classes, passive skills, Gods, etc...

Changelog

Added:

  1. New scene when player wins. Show procgen text, score and statistics
  2. Each class have unique skills
  3. Procgen history intro, so the player will know the quest.
  4. New gameover scene, with procgen epitaph and score and music
  5. Special levels 10-20: One level with more gold, other more items, and Two with more monsters
  6. Flying monsters can now move+attack in one turn
  7. Added action to rest until full HP (comma key)
  8. Map/light scroll on every dark map
  9. Visual effects when using magic
  10. Visual sprites for magic projectiles
  11. Effects FX when hit, miss and amount dmg over head
  12. Miss sounds for magic on immune monsters
  13. Key controls for music and sound volume
  14. Selectable text from console
  15. Autorun on rooms too, stopping at doors
  16. Zombie monster now walk slower and deal more dmg
  17. Aquator monster is immune to projectiles
  18. Enchant staff will grant charges
  19. Character Selector with random traits and history
  20. You can now Pray to your God
  21. Devotion stat, used for praying
  22. Reading monster statues gives monster info
  23. Extra Healing potion gives +5 max hp
  24. Final score when you win the game
  25. Can't search if player is under bad status effect
  26. Cat Eye cures blind
  27. Sprite for items will be more variety
  28. Random starting equipment
  29. Smooth animation when moving and attacking
  30. Play will drop blood after getting killed
  31. Sprites for splash dmg when using staves
  32. Destroyable statue/slabs, to avoid path blocking
  33. Statues of gods, heroes and monsters
  34. Slabs of dead heroes
  35. Killing monster leave a blood splash
  36. Bones on the floor
  37. Fortune Cookies
  38. Sound when level up
  39. Random music every 5 levels
  40. Better door tileset and open doors
  41. Starting with a fruit in your backpack
  42. Starting heal is random and affected by body type
  43. 20% chance to auto-search traps and secret walls when moving
  44. Reveal and identify traps using "search"
  45. 25% chance to not activate a trap when stepping on it
  46. New sound effects
  47. Torch decoration on walls
  48. New champ sprites

Fixed:

  1. All texts for monster and item descriptions
  2. Player sprite now faces the direction of the attack
  3. Bug with random number generator
  4. Black screen on dark maps until you move
  5. Bug Monster attacking while you are already dead
  6. Bug when using staff of monster creation
  7. Bug player stuck when using magic wands
  8. Bug when using scroll of monster creation
  9. Message Log shows last 200 events, to prevent crashes
  10. Visual bug with the Amulet of Yendor
  11. Reduced some audio files to improve the game experience
  12. Throwing projectiles near a wall
  13. Staff of Drain Life will kill you at 1 hp
  14. Deal negative dmg when have low STR
  15. Nerf ring of protection, from 5% to 3%
  16. More Medusa confusion
  17. Blindness potion and effects
  18. Hallucination potion and effects
  19. Monsters sprite behind dropped items
  20. Droped items while blind are invisible now
  21. Aberdeen Bestiary now show monster tileset
  22. Auto-identify scrolls of identify
  23. Throwing cursed weapons
  24. Bug with trap pathfinding
  25. Pressing Shift+H will not move you
  26. Vorpalize scroll will not work with staves
  27. Nerfed staff of Ice Beam
  28. More dmg for Venus fly-trap

  41. Dropped items are invisible while blind
  42. Balanced drop loot from monsters

  44. Increased secret walls, 40% chance. At level 5
  45. Bug with STR at level 25
  46. Less dark maps, 15% of the time
  47. Better maze algorithm
  48. Less dead-end-corridors levels
  49. Fruit is now a stackable item
  50. Auto-run with Shift key
  51. Identify failed scrolls
  52. Balancing potion effects/duration
  53. More gold items in dungeon, less value per stack
